What can you do as a citizen?With rising cyber threats, especially those targeting financial and personal data, every individual should adopt these 5 basic but effective cybersecurity practices.

#1 Use Strong, Unique Passwords – Create passwords that are long, complex, and unique for each account. – Avoid reusing passwords across multiple sites.

#2 Keep Software and Apps Updated Enable automatic updates to ensure you always have the latest security patches

#3 Avoid Public Wi-Fi – Avoid accessing banking or sensitive accounts on public Wi-Fi. – If necessary, use a VPN to encrypt your internet traffic.

#4 Think Before you Click – Do not download image received from unknown number. – Look for “https” in the address bar when entering passwords or payment details

#5 Limit App Access Deny access to data or functions (e.g., location, camera, microphone, SMS) that are not essential for the app’s core functionality.
