Odisha Dedicated MICE Tourism Portal Launch
The Odisha government has launched India’s first dedicated incentive portal for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE), aimed at positioning the state as a premier business tourism hub and attracting corporate investments. Unveiled by Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida at the Odisha Travel Bazaar 2026, the digital platform streamlines financial incentive applications for corporate convention organizers, event planners, and tourism operators. MICE tourism—which encompasses organized travel for commercial, professional, and networking purposes—forms a core component of Odisha's broader strategy to modernize its business tourism ecosystem and attract large-scale corporate events.
Beyond corporate conventions, the single-window digital mechanism is designed to expedite regulatory approvals for destination weddings, sports events, and cultural heritage ventures. The government highlighted the strategic potential of experiential tourism and heritage venues—particularly across Bhubaneswar’s historic monuments—to curate unique cultural experiences, temple weddings, and regional culinary tours for younger demographics. To further enhance investor confidence and remove administrative hurdles, the state government assured industry stakeholders that private-sector recommendations would be integrated to refine capital subsidy frameworks and accelerate tourism infrastructure development.
