UP Records ₹47,484 Crore Exports to BRICS & Partner Nations

Uttar Pradesh has significantly expanded its trade engagement with BRICS nations and partner countries, generating exports worth ₹47,484 crore ($5.03 billion). Out of this total, shipments to core BRICS member states accounted for ₹34,811 crore ($3.69 billion), while partner nations received goods valued at ₹12,673 crore ($1.34 billion). This milestone underscores the growing global footprint of the state’s diversified manufacturing and agricultural sectors, which span food processing, textiles, leather, electrical equipment, machinery, and jewelry. To build on this momentum, the state government is prioritizing industrial investment, better connectivity, simplified regulations, job creation, and export promotion to integrate both traditional artisan hubs and modern industrial units into international markets. Sustaining this export trajectory will rely on upgrading product quality, modern packaging, supply chain logistics, testing infrastructure, and global branding. These enhancements will particularly empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), export-led hubs, and local producers by connecting them to a broader international buyer base. Deeper engagement with BRICS and emerging economies allows Uttar Pradesh to diversify its trade relationships beyond conventional markets. By linking district-level manufacturing clusters with global value chains through robust logistics and quality testing facilities, the state aims to drive continuous investment, generate localized employment, and establish a permanent global presence for its goods.

India Nears FTA Deals with EU, Chile & New Zealand: A Push for Export Growth and Mineral Security.

India is fast-tracking FTA negotiations to boost exports in labour-intensive sectors and secure rare earth minerals for industrial resilience. India’s trade diplomacy is gaining momentum. Negotiations for Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with the European Union, Chile, and New Zealand are expected to conclude by year-end, signalling a strategic pivot toward export diversification and supply-chain security. With the European Union — India’s largest trading partner (12.2% of total trade) — talks are in the final phase. Consensus is emerging on contentious issues like automobiles, whisky, and wine. The EU seeks tariff cuts on cars (currently taxed at 70–110%) and wines (150% duty). In return, India is pressing for lower duties on textiles, leather, and gems & jewellery — sectors employing millions. Sources indicate the deal could be signed as early as November, following the EU delegation’s visit to New Delhi (Nov 3–7). 🇨🇱 With Chile, India’s focus is strategic. The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) aims to strengthen access to critical minerals—especially as China tightens rare earth exports vital for EVs, electronics, and defence. The third negotiation round in October 2025 emphasized digital services, MSME cooperation, and investment facilitation, expanding beyond traditional goods trade. 🇳🇿 With New Zealand, the fourth round of talks (Nov 3–7, Auckland) targets faster consensus on Rules of Origin, goods, and services trade. These simultaneous negotiations reflect a strategic shift — India is reducing overdependence on single markets like China and tapping new export destinations amid evolving global supply chains. 📊 Sectors likely to benefit: Textiles & apparel:

Mirza International's recent announcement of the launch of its 100% wholly-owned subsidiary, Genesis Brands Pvt Ltd, is a significant move to bolster its retail and e-commerce presence in the footwear market. This strategic expansion aims to capitalize on the growing demand for quality footwear products in India and potentially beyond. This will provide customers with direct access to the brand's products and enhance brand visibility. Strengthened E-Commerce Presence: Genesis Brands Pvt Ltd will also play a crucial role in strengthening Mirza International's online presence. By investing in a robust e-commerce platform, the company can tap into the rapidly growing online shopping market and reach a wider customer base. Product Diversification: The subsidiary could potentially explore opportunities to introduce new product lines or brands under its umbrella, diversifying Mirza International's offerings and catering to a broader range of consumer preferences. Strategic Partnerships: Genesis Brands Pvt Ltd might also seek strategic partnerships with other brands or retailers to leverage their distribution networks and customer base. This could lead to mutually beneficial collaborations and accelerate market penetration. Potential Challenges and Opportunities: Competition: The footwear market is highly competitive, with established players and emerging brands vying for market share. Mirza International will need to differentiate itself through product quality, innovation, and effective marketing strategies.   Supply Chain Management: Expanding retail and e-commerce operations requires efficient supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of products.
