Prasol Hits Upper Circuit on Debut; IPO Stocks Gain

Shares of speciality chemicals manufacturer Prasol Chemicals hit the 10 percent upper circuit on Wednesday, its debut day, after initially listing at a discount to the issue price. The stock listed at Rs 611 on the BSE, marking a 9.61 percent discount to its issue price of Rs 676, before rising to the upper circuit limit. Meanwhile, shares of transformer manufacturer Kanohar Electricals ended at Rs 751.50 on the NSE, gaining 19.30 percent over its issue price of Rs 632. The stock also advanced 10 percent from its listing price. Kanohar Electricals made its BSE debut at Rs 672.05, a 6.33 percent premium to the issue price. On the NSE, the stock opened at Rs 685.50, representing an 8.46 percent premium over the issue price. Shares of facade solutions provider Glass Wall Systems (India) also extended their gains on the debut day, closing at Rs 214.85 on the NSE, up 18.68 percent from the issue price.
