Technical Evaluation: Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd. (1D)

The stock daily chart of

KALYANKJIL
indicates that the stock is currently in a consolidation and pullback phase following a strong recovery rally. After a steep decline from its earlier peaks the stock formed a solid base around the 350 to 360 zone and delivered a sharp V-shaped bounce up to the 640 level. The stock is currently trading at 558.00, which reflects normal profit-booking after reaching the recent swing high near 640. Immediate Support (520 - 550): The 550 zone is currently acting as a minor support level. If the price breaks below this the stock may test the primary demand zone located between 480 and 500. Immediate Resistance (640 - 650): On the upside the previous swing high near 640 has become a strong resistance or supply zone. The stock needs a decisive daily closing above this level to resume its upward trend. For short-term traders entering a position right now carries downside risk. A safer entry setup would be to wait for the stock to settle at a support level like 520 to 550 contract in volatility and form a strong bullish reversal candle. For long-term investors the overall recovery structure remains intact as long as the price continues to hold above the 480 to 500 baseline.

Kalyan Jewellers tests ₹564 after a sharp pullback

KALYANKJIL
Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd closed at ₹564 after slipping 1.2%, extending the pullback from the recent ₹620–₹630 high zone. The larger move from July remains a strong breakout leg, but recent candles show that momentum has cooled. Price has made a series of lower highs since the peak and is now testing whether the ₹560 area can hold as a base. The latest red candle keeps the short-term bias cautious until buyers regain control above nearby averages. The 20-day average is near ₹566.68, so price is trading just below its first short-term reference level. The 55-day average around ₹589.72 is the more important resistance and marks the upper boundary of the present correction. The gap between the two averages shows that the stock is in a cooling phase rather than a clean upside continuation. A recovery that fails below ₹590 would still leave the broader correction intact. ₹560–₹564 is the immediate support range. A decisive break below it can bring ₹540 into focus. On the upside, ₹567 is the first level to reclaim, followed by ₹590. Festive demand, store expansion, consumer spending and gold-price movement remain important factors for the jewellery retailer.

Kalyan Jewellers: 20% SSSG; a 41% P/E discount

KALYANKJIL
Kalyan Jewellers India (NSE: KALYANKJIL) is a Kerala-based jewellery retailer with 546 showrooms across India, the Middle East, USA, and UK as of Q2 FY27, up from 436 a year earlier. It sells gold, diamond, and lifestyle jewellery, including through its sub-brand Candere for everyday ornaments. What happened: Kalyan reported same-store-sales growth (SSSG) of approximately 20% year-on-year in Q2 FY27, up from 16% in the same quarter last year -- matching Titan Company's 21% domestic jewellery growth. Gold prices averaged Rs 1.5 lakh per 10 gram in Q2 FY27, up more than 40% YoY. Kalyan attributed growth to its regional brand Akshaya Thanga Maligai (Chennai, August 2026) and old gold exchange offers. Candere, its lightweight everyday brand, reported 64% revenue growth. The Navratri calendar shift -- all nine days fell in Q2 FY26 versus Q3 FY27 this year -- made the 20% SSSG harder to achieve. Why it matters: Titan trades at 67.1x P/E; Kalyan trades at 39.1x -- a 41% discount despite near-identical SSSG. ROE is 24.8% versus Titan's 37.7%, but Kalyan is adding stores rapidly and expanding into overseas markets and lifestyle formats. The regional brand targets customers who prefer a local identity over a national chain. What I am watching: Whether SSSG holds above 20% in Q3 FY27 once Navratri shifts back, Candere's revenue share, and overseas showroom productivity. My stance: The 41% valuation discount to Titan reflects Kalyan's lower ROE and heavier reliance on gold rather than studded jewellery. The bull case is store expansion and Candere's growth closing that gap. The risk is gold price tailwinds masking underlying volume weakness. I do not hold a position in Kalyan Jewellers at the time of writing. This is not investment advice.

Kalyan Jewellers Slips Today After a Blistering Rally

KALYANKJIL
Kalyan Jewellers shares fell nearly 3% to Rs 553.50 on Thursday, giving back some of this week's gains after the stock had jumped on a healthy September quarter business update earlier in the week, part of a broader market pullback following the RBI's rate hike. The Run Up To This: This stock has been one of the market's more dramatic movers all year. After a strong June quarter, consolidated revenue up 38% year on year and India same store sales growth of 28%, with showroom count expanding to 524 across India, the Middle East, US, UK and the Candere format, Citi turned bullish with a target of Rs 750, arguing the growth story had meaningfully more room to run. The stock rallied roughly 50% over a handful of sessions earlier this year on that call. The September quarter update that triggered this week's gains continued that same theme of expansion led growth, before today's broader market weakness pulled the stock back. Why the Swings Keep Happening: Jewellery retailers like Kalyan are judged heavily on same store sales growth and showroom expansion pace rather than headline revenue alone, since that signals whether demand is organic or just new store openings. Strong same store numbers tend to trigger sharp rallies, while even mild profit booking after a big run can knock the stock down hard, exactly the volatility this counter has shown all year.
