Mphasis Outlook: Breakout Zone Signals Fresh Momentum

MPHASIS
is showing improving technical strength on the daily chart after recovering from its March low. The stock is currently trading around the ₹2,500 zone and has moved back above its key moving averages, indicating that the medium-term structure is gradually turning positive. The immediate hurdle is placed around ₹2,500–₹2,523. A sustained daily close above this zone could strengthen the breakout setup and open the way toward ₹2,600, followed by the ₹2,700 area. The ₹2,500 level is particularly important because the stock has faced repeated resistance around this region. Recent weekly analysis also identifies ₹2,496 as an immediate resistance and ₹2,537 as the next major hurdle.  On the downside, ₹2,463 is an important support, followed by ₹2,447 and ₹2,428. A sustained move below ₹2,428 could weaken the current structure and bring ₹2,395 into focus. Momentum indicators remain constructive but require confirmation. RSI is around 59, suggesting positive momentum without entering the overbought zone. However, the MACD on the chart is showing some short-term cooling, so a decisive breakout above ₹2,523 would provide stronger confirmation. Overall, Mphasis remains cautiously bullish above ₹2,463, while a decisive breakout above ₹2,523 could signal the next leg of the uptrend.

PRE MARKET---> Gap-Down Ahead: Can 24,000 Turn Into.....?

Indian markets may start Friday on the back foot, with GIFT Nifty indicating a weaker opening. The key question now is whether the expected weakness near 24,000 becomes an opportunity for buyers or turns into another round of selling. ----> FIIs Book Profit, But DIIs Provide Strong Support Institutional Activity — 28 August 2026 • FII Cash Market: -₹298.26 Cr • DII Cash Market: +₹4,977.17 Cr • FII Index Futures: -₹1,871.04 Cr • FII Index Options: +₹6,885.99 Cr • FII Stock Futures: -₹1,714.67 Cr • FII Stock Options: -₹641.90 Cr ##Nifty: 24,000 Is the Big Test If Nifty opens around 24,000, this level becomes extremely important. 24,000–24,100 → Strong Support Zone A gap-down followed by a successful defence of this zone could create a buy-on-dips opportunity. But if Nifty decisively breaks below 24,000, the setup changes. Support Breakdown = Risk of Further Selling @@Bank Nifty: 57,300–57,350 Is Key Bank Nifty also has an important support zone: 57,300–57,350 → Major Support If this zone holds, banking stocks could attempt a recovery. ##US Markets Give Some Comfort Despite the weak Indian setup, overnight US markets closed higher. The S&P 500 gained 0.7%, Nasdaq rose 1.6% and Dow added 0.2%, with Nvidia leading the technology rally after its strong results and outlook. ##IT Stocks in Focus The strong Nvidia reaction could keep the global technology theme active. Indian IT stocks to watch:

WIPRO
!TCS !PERSISTENT !COFORGE !MPHASIS ##PCR UPDATE ( PUT CALL RATIO ) BANKNIFTY PCR- 1.1 ( TURN GOOD AFTER GAPDOWN ) NIFTY PCR- 0.55 ( ALREADY AT GOOD LEVELS ) ------>Bottom Line Gap-down may test 24,000, but the real question is whether buyers defend it. If Nifty holds 24,000–24,100 and Bank Nifty protects 57,300–57,350, a recovery attempt could emerge. Today's approach: Don't chase the opening gap — watch the support reaction first.

Close crossing last Month High Strategy.

Close crossing last Month High Strategy.

MPHASIS
is trading near its previous month high. • This strategy focuses on stocks that close above the previous month’s high, which often signals fresh momentum and strong buying interest. • A decisive close above this level indicates that the stock is breaking a key resistance zone, potentially starting a new upward trend. • Traders usually look for strong volume, market support, and the stock trading above important moving averages to confirm the breakout strength. • For risk management, many traders place a stop loss slightly below the breakout level while aiming to capture short to medium-term momentum moves. PRE MARKET----> MONTHLY EXPIRY+FII BUYING AND AI CRASH!

FIIs returned to buying in the cash market, crude oil cooled further, and global markets remained mixed. However, the biggest event today is the Monthly F&O Expiry, which could bring sharp moves around key option levels. The key question: Can Nifty defend 24,000–24,100 and turn expiry into a buying opportunity? ##FII Buying Returns Institutional Activity — 24 August 2026 Segment FII DII Cash Market +₹1,181.66 Cr +₹2,493.41 Cr Index Futures -₹1,564.83 Cr — Index Options +₹22,014.90 Cr — Stock Futures +₹204.51 Cr — Stock Options -₹1,047.59 Cr — The most important takeaway is the return of FII cash buying. FIIs bought around ₹1,182 crore in the cash market, while DIIs added another ₹2,493 crore. However, FII positioning remains mixed in derivatives, with selling in index futures but very large activity in index options. Cash Buying + Strong DII Support = Positive ---->Crude Oil Finally Cools ------>US Markets: Mixed, But Chip Stocks Under Pressure The overnight U.S. session was mixed: Dow Jones: +0.3% S&P 500: -0.3% Nasdaq: -0.8% ##Global Tech Weakness = Positive for Indian IT
