PARAS DEFENCE From optics to space, from radar to defence — Paras is building India’s strategic fence.

PARAS
When the nation needs to see, When the nation needs to defend, When technology decides the end — Paras wants to be there at every bend. For over 40 years, Paras Defence has built capabilities across defence and space engineering, with products ranging from infrared optics and optical domes to rugged defence electronics, command-and-control systems, space mirrors and electromagnetic protection solutions. But the bigger story isn't just defence. It is precision. It is technology. It is indigenisation. From night-vision optics to missile systems, from naval platforms to space missions, from electronic warfare to surveillance — Paras operates in areas where reliability isn't optional. And India's defence equation is changing: Import less. Design more. Build here. Export further. That's where Paras fits. Its two core business verticals — Optics & Optronic Systems and Defence Engineering — cover a wide range of high-value applications. In the first nine months of FY26, both segments recorded year-on-year revenue growth, with Optics & Optronic Systems generating ₹139.3 crore and Defence Engineering ₹151.6 crore. The company is also expanding beyond its traditional base through technologies involving drones, anti-drone systems, RF & microwave, EO/IR systems and quantum communication. And the order pipeline is getting strategic attention: in April 2026, Paras disclosed a ₹7.72 crore DRDO order for development of Ku/C-Band satellite communication phased-array antennas for airborne applications. Defence is the mission. Technology is the ammunition. And indigenisation is the ambition. Paras may not build every weapon India uses — but it aims to build the eyes, electronics and precision systems that help those weapons work. From battlefield to orbit, from optics to electronics — Paras Defence is trying to make “Make in India” mission-critical.

PARAS DEFENCE, ZEN TECH, OTHER DEFENCE SHARES RISE UP TO 8% AS MOD NOTIFIES SIXTH POSITIVE INDIGENISATION LIST OF 405 ITEMS

PARAS
DEFENCE STOCKS RISE UP TO 8%: Defence shares including Paras Defence and Zen Technologies gained up to 8 percent after the Ministry of Defence notified the sixth Positive Indigenisation List covering 405 defence items with an estimated business potential of Rs 3,070 crore. The list includes components, sub-systems, spares and raw materials for aircraft, helicopters, armoured platforms, warships, missiles and defence electronics. The items will be progressively indigenised and, once developed domestically, procured from Indian manufacturers. The initiative is expected to create fresh opportunities for domestic defence companies and MSMEs while reducing India’s dependence on defence imports. The Ministry said more than 15,700 defence items have already been indigenised, resulting in estimated import substitution of around Rs 9,000 crore over the past five years. The latest list is expected to further support the government’s push for indigenous defence production.
