Tube Investments reverses 4.3% rally near support

Tube Investments of India Limited shares rose as much as 4.29% but closed up only 0.05% at Rs 2,214. Support is at Rs 2,160 and resistance at Rs 2,475. Tube Investments of India Limited [

TIINDIA
] shares rose as much as 4.29% intraday but gave up most of the gains and closed up only 0.05% at Rs 2,214 on 12 October. The stock is trading close to its Rs 2,160 support. The session touched a high of Rs 2,307.90 and a low of Rs 2,206.50. A strong early move that fades into the close often points to sellers stepping in at higher levels. In my view, the trend is bearish. The stock has been falling steadily from the Rs 3,335 level of June 2026, and the chart shows lower highs and lower lows since then. The stock is also far below its peak above Rs 4,800 from late 2024. A single fading rally does not change that. Rs 2,160 is the key support, and a fall below it would put lower levels in view. On the upside, Rs 2,475 is the resistance. A move above it would weaken the bearish view and bring a recovery attempt into focus. Bearish view while price trades below Rs 2,475. Tube Investments of India analysis on differnet parameter

TIINDIA
Quality:- Tube Investments of India Ltd continues to demonstrate strong quality fundamentals, with operational metrics indicating a resilient business model. The company’s return on equity stands at 8.7%, signalling a moderate capacity to generate shareholder returns relative to equity capital. However, quarterly profit after tax (PAT) figures reveal a contraction, with a decline of 15.2% reported in the latest quarter ending June 2026. This dip in profitability has contributed to a more cautious analytical perspective. Valuation:- The valuation aspect of the company’s evaluation reflects a premium stance, with a price-to-book value ratio of 5.5. This elevated valuation multiple indicates that the stock is priced expensively relative to its book value, which may be a point of concern for some market participants. Despite this, the stock trades at a discount when compared to the average historical valuations of its peer group, suggesting some relative value within the sector context. Financial:- The financial trend for Tube Investments of India Ltd appears largely flat, with limited growth in profitability over recent periods. The company’s profit before tax excluding other income for the quarter is reported at ₹348.81 crores, marking a low point in recent performance. This stagnation in earnings growth is a key factor influencing the revision in the stock’s evaluation. Technical:- The technical assessment of the stock is currently bearish, suggesting that market momentum and price trends are not favourable in the near term. This technical stance, combined with the flat financial trend and expensive valuation, has contributed to a more cautious analytical stance. The stock’s recent price movements and volume patterns may be signalling a period of consolidation or downward pressure.

Tube Investments - pullback apart from a trend change

TIINDIA
had a mixed Q1 FY27. Revenue across its main businesses grew about 17%, but consolidated net profit fell to roughly Rs 1.7 bn from around Rs 3 bn a year earlier. Growth at the top, pressure below it. That gap usually comes from where the money is going. TI runs a core engineering business alongside newer bets in clean mobility and its stake in CG Power. Newer businesses absorb capital and run at thin or negative margins while they scale, so consolidated profit can fall even as revenue climbs. Whether that is investment or drag depends on execution over the next few quarters, and that is the honest risk here. Now the chart, and the question worth asking of it. Price is 2,698. The 20 EMA sits at 2,808 and the 50 EMA at 2,857. Price is under both, and the 20 is under the 50 since 16 July. RSI is 37, down from 48 five sessions ago. Every stock dips below its averages sometimes. So how do you tell a pullback inside an uptrend from an actual trend change? Look at the slope of the 50 EMA. Over the last 20 sessions it has fallen about 1.7%. In a pullback, that slow average keeps rising while price dips beneath it. Here it is heading down, and price is 14% lower than it was 60 sessions ago. That is a trend change, not a dip. One softening detail, volume on the decline is running under half the 20 day average, so this is drift rather than heavy selling.

Shanthi Gears Jumps 37% in two session: What's Real Trigger?

Shanthi Gears

SHANTIGEAR
shares have surged nearly 37% in just two trading sessions, with the stock rising sharply after its promoter Tube Investments of India increased its stake in the company. What’s Driving the Rally? Tube Investments acquired around 20.65 lakh shares, representing 2.69% of Shanthi Gears, through a block deal worth approximately ₹77.5 crore. Following the purchase, its holding increased from around 70.46% to 73.16%. The promoter increasing its stake has been interpreted positively by the market, as it signals higher promoter commitment and confidence in the business. The stock has also witnessed a significant spike in trading volumes following the transaction. But There’s a Catch The latest quarterly performance was relatively weak. Revenue from operations: ₹115 crore, down around 14% YoY Consolidated profit: down around 15% YoY Order book: approximately ₹378 crore as of June 2026 So, the sharp rally is not being driven by a strong earnings surprise. It is primarily a promoter-buying and sentiment-driven move. My View The promoter buying is clearly a positive signal, but the bigger question is whether business performance can catch up with the stock price. For the rally to become sustainable, investors will want to see revenue growth, stronger order execution and a recovery in profitability. After a nearly 37% gain in just two sessions, expectations have risen sharply. The next phase of the story will depend less on promoter buying and more on whether the underlying business starts delivering. Key takeaway: Shanthi Gears has attracted strong buying after its promoter raised its stake to over 73%, but the real test now is whether earnings and order execution can justify the stock's sharp rerating.
