Dr Reddy’s Gains 2.7% as Sensex Falls 548

The market closed lower today, reversing an early rally. The Sensex fell 547.65 points (0.76%) to 71,924.68, and the Nifty fell 157.10 points (0.70%) to 22,363.35. The Nifty opened at 22,593.20 and hit a high of 22,651.10 but slid to a low of 22,304.45. Selling in IT, FMCG and financial stocks drove the fall. Oil eased and the RBI’s steps to support the rupee gave some relief, but foreign outflows, higher bond yields and earnings worries kept investors cautious. 1)

DRREDDY
was the top Nifty gainer, rising 2.71% to ₹1,229.40. I couldn’t find a specific news trigger, so the move looks like defensive buying on a weak day. 2)Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles also did well. Bajaj Auto gained 2.62% to ₹10,034, and TMPV rose 1.63% to ₹284.45. BEL and BSE Ltd were also among the top gainers. 3)The biggest losers: Apollo Hospitals fell over 3%, with ITC, Tech Mahindra, L&T, Hindalco and HUL also among the worst. ITC’s drop follows its sharp bounce on Friday. 4)Breadth was weak on the Sensex. At midday only 5 of its 30 stocks were advancing, so the damage was spread across the large caps. 5)Broader markets held up better. Midcap and smallcap indices ended higher even as the headline indices fell.

Ola electric flags risks to reported business metrics.

Ola Electric Mobility Limited

OLAELEC
has told investors that weaknesses in its internal systems could affect the accuracy of reported business metrics. It also faces a pending SEBI notice on disclosures about vehicle sales, store expansion and motorcycle deliveries. The company noted possible limitations in tracking systems that may impact data accuracy. A SEBI show-cause notice remains pending over earlier disclosures. This relates to sales figures, store counts and delivery numbers. The key triggers are the internal systems warning and the outstanding SEBI notice on sales and expansion claims. This raises governance concerns for Ola Electric. Peers such as TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp may see limited direct impact as the issues are company-specific. Near-term prices could react to the disclosure risks. Risks include potential penalties or further regulatory scrutiny. Competitors listed: TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp. We have no financial interest in this news.

Bajaj Auto rebounds from ₹9,645, but the trend remains weak

BAJAJ-AUTO
formed a strong green recovery candle after testing ₹9,645 intraday and closed at ₹9,843. The bounce shows buyers responding after the sharp recent sell-off, but it is still a counter-trend move rather than a confirmed reversal. Price remains below the Tenkan-sen at ₹10,454 and Kijun-sen near ₹10,956. The Ichimoku cloud begins around ₹10,705 and extends towards ₹11,054, leaving a broad resistance zone overhead. This shows that the larger trend remains under pressure despite the latest bullish candle. ₹9,645 is the immediate support. A break below it can bring ₹9,400 into focus. On the upside, ₹10,000 is the first hurdle, followed by ₹10,454. Two-wheeler demand, export volumes and financing conditions remain important for the sector, but the chart needs a move back above the cloud for a stronger recovery signal.

TCS Jumps 5% After Q2 Results; Market Rebounds

Markets opened higher today after Thursday’s sharp sell-off (Sensex -1,045 points, Nifty -371 points). The Sensex opened at 71,776.67 against a previous close of 71,593.24, and the Nifty opened around 22,314-22,324. Two things drove the recovery. US Treasury yields pulled back, and oil eased after reports that Trump ruled out an Iran attack before November. The gains built through the morning, and by 11 AM the Sensex was up 809 points (1.13%) at 72,402.51. 1)

TCS
is today’s standout stock. It rose about 5% in early trade and was at ₹2,178.10 (+4.92%) around 12 PM, the top Nifty gainer, up from a previous close of ₹2,076.00. The move followed its Q2 results, released after market hours on Thursday. I couldn’t verify the result details, so the reason for the jump is the market’s reaction to the numbers. 2)The whole IT pack is rallying. Nifty IT led all sectors with a gain of about 2.8% at the open, and Infosys, HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra also rose. That ends a four-day losing run for the sector. 3)Other notable gainers: Apollo Hospitals (+3.5%), Eicher Motors (+3.6%), Bajaj Auto (+3%), Max Healthcare (+3%) and ITC. FMCG was the second-strongest sector. 4)The rally is broad. Nifty Midcap 100 rose 0.56% at the open, and banks were modestly higher. Metal and pharma were the weakest sectors. BEL, Reliance and JSW Steel were small decliners.
