Hindalco Q1 FY27: All-Time Record Revenue, EBITDA and PAT Together Body (1,924 chars) Hindalco Industries Limited reported Q1 FY27 results for the June 2026 quarter on 7 August. Q1 FY27 numbers (consolidated), all records: Revenue: Rs 84,825 crore, up 32% YoY from Rs 64,232 crore EBITDA: Rs 14,989 crore, up 73% YoY; margin 16.4% PAT: Rs 7,013 crore, up 75% YoY from Rs 4,004 crore; EPS Rs 31.58 Aluminium India upstream EBITDA Rs 7,390 crore, up 81%; per tonne $2,331 vs $1,467 Copper EBITDA Rs 918 crore, record, up 36%; sulphuric acid by-products drove the gain Novelis: revenue $5.8 billion, up 23%; EBITDA $516 million, up 24%; Oswego restarted An exceptional charge of Rs 2,299 crore sits between operating profit and PAT. Since results: Hindalco commissioned India's first Superfine ATH plant at Belagavi, 30,000 tonne capacity of specialty alumina for EV and cable applications. Hindalco Industries [
HINDALCO
][***** shares trade at Rs 989.35 (7 Sep 2026, 09:36 AM IST), up 38 percent in a year, 14 percent below the Rs 1,159 high. P/E 13.4; P/B 1.60; sector P/E 12. My view: five simultaneous records on one print, yet the stock is 14 percent off its high on macro volatility. At 13.4x, barely above the sector's 12x, the market is paying nothing for the Novelis restart and the Belagavi speciality story. That is the opportunity and the risk: a re-rating needs sustained aluminium prices and Novelis to hold its $563 per tonne EBITDA. Holders are well-placed; fresh money can accumulate in the Rs 970 to 1,010 band. Levels: Rs 975, last week's low, is the near support; Rs 1,060 to 1,080 the August recovery zone to reclaim; Rs 1,159 the high.

Hindustan Zinc Nifty Metal Gainer this week

Hindustan Zinc Limited

HINDZINC
gained 2.22 per cent on Friday, September 4, 2026 — the third-biggest gainer in the Nifty Metal index on a day when the sector rose 1.07 per cent to emerge as the best-performing sectoral index, with APL Apollo Tubes up 4.20 per cent and Tata Steel up 2.49 per cent leading the pack. Hindustan Zinc Limited rising on Friday adds a zinc-specific dimension to the week's metal sector story. While Hindalco's aluminium story has been driven by Norsk Hydro's Alunorte production swings, and Tata Steel's story has been anchored to global crude steel supply-demand dynamics, Hindustan Zinc's performance is primarily a function of LME zinc prices, Indian domestic infrastructure demand, and the silver byproduct revenue stream that makes it one of the most unique commodity plays on the Nifty. Silver prices have risen approximately 18 per cent in calendar year 2026, driven by industrial demand from solar panel manufacturing and the EV battery sector — both of which use silver in quantities that are growing faster than annual mine supply can accommodate. As India's largest zinc and lead producer with significant silver output, Hindustan Zinc benefits directly from that silver price appreciation without any change in its operational profile. The Vedanta Group holds the majority stake in Hindustan Zinc following the government's partial divestment in prior years. The company declared a first interim dividend for FY27 — human RA must verify the declared amount and record date before publishing. Q1 FY27 revenue and profit metrics are available on the company's investor relations page and should be verified before insertion.

APL Apollo Tubes Nifty Metal Top Gainer September 4 2026

APL Apollo Tubes Limited

APLAPOLLO
O was the top gainer in the Nifty Metal index on Friday, September 4, 2026, surging 4.20 per cent — the single largest percentage gain among Nifty Metal index constituents on a day when the index rose 1.07 per cent to 13,317.45, outperforming every other sectoral index on the NSE. APL Apollo Tubes Limited gaining 4.20 per cent on Friday builds on a structural story that is fundamentally different from commodity steel plays like Tata Steel or Hindalco. APL Apollo is a value-added steel tube manufacturer — its products include hollow sections, structural tubes and pre-galvanised tubes used in construction, infrastructure and industrial applications. Because it buys steel as a raw material and sells fabricated products, APL Apollo benefits from falling steel prices — its input cost declines while its product pricing holds — creating a margin expansion opportunity when commodity steel weakens. That dynamic is relevant heading into the week of September 7: Nifty Metal's 38 per cent one-year gain has been driven by steel price recovery, but any pullback in steel prices from current levels would compress margins for primary steel producers while potentially improving them for downstream fabricators like APL Apollo. The Nifty Metal index's 1.07 per cent gain on Friday was its second consecutive session of outperformance. APL Apollo's 4.20 per cent leadership within that index gain suggests specific institutional buying rather than broad sector momentum. The stock's market cap, order book visibility and construction-sector demand linkage make it one of the more defensible metals-adjacent plays regardless of the direction of primary steel prices.

Hindalco commissioned India’s first Superfine PPT ATH plant

Hindalco has commissioned India’s first Superfine PPT ATH plant at its Belagavi facility, adding 30,000 tonnes of annual capacity. The plant will manufacture specialty alumina trihydrate (ATH) for halogen-free flame-retardant applications across cables, electric vehicles and infrastructure. The facility is powered by renewable energy, supporting

HINDALCO
’s focus on sustainable manufacturing. With a phased expansion plan to increase capacity to 60,000 tonnes annually, the plant strengthens Hindalco’s specialty alumina portfolio and supports import substitution in a growing domestic market. The development also positions the company to benefit from rising demand for safer and more sustainable materials in electrical and EV applications.

Hindalco Industries Nifty Top Loser August 27 2026 Session

HINDALCO
lc Industries Limited (HINDALCO) was the top loser in the Nifty 50 on Thursday, August 27, 2026, falling 2.75 per cent to close at Rs 1,024 — the steepest single-stock decline in the index on a session where the Sensex shed 539.35 points and metals and cement were the two worst-performing sectors. Hindalco Industries Limited falling to the top of the Nifty loser board on Thursday extends a difficult August for the stock. The 52-week high of Rs 1,177 — hit in May 2026 — now sits 14.7 per cent above Thursday's close of Rs 1,024. The stock has been caught in a cycle of sharp single-session gains on commodity price improvements followed by equally sharp reversals on global supply news — a pattern that has played out at least four times through August alone. Thursday's fall came against a backdrop of mixed global cues following Nvidia's after-hours revenue beat, with metals specifically under pressure as: Global aluminium prices softened on continued Norsk Hydro Alunorte production ramp-up, which has increased global alumina supply and compressed spot premiums Nifty Cement declined over 1 per cent — dragging the broader materials and commodity complex lower alongside metals Dollar strengthened marginally ahead of Jackson Hole, which typically pressures commodity prices denominated in USD The Q1 FY27 result that the market had been re-rating — consolidated revenue of Rs 47,364 crore, adjusted EBITDA at Rs 9,373 crore with a 20 per cent margin, net profit of Rs 4,696 crore, and BF3 blast furnace restart at Vijayanagar adding volume from Q2 — remains intact as the fundamental backdrop. The current pressure is entirely macro and commodity-price driven rather than company-specific. Friday's Jackson Hole speech from Warsh is the key catalyst that could resolve the near-term pressure. A dovish signal weakens the dollar, supports global commodity prices, and directly benefits Hindalco's aluminium realisations. A hawkish signal compounds Thursday's selling.
