Strengths of Mopshop Distribution
- Wider operating network: Mopshop serves more than 300 clients and operates warehouses across seven cities, including Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Chennai, Pune and Indore. As of September 2025, these warehouses covered about 20,000 sq. ft., giving the company a physical base for serving customers across regions.
- Digital ordering built into operations: The company uses its online order management platform for order placement, tracking, inventory monitoring and delivery scheduling. This is more than a customer-facing ordering tool as it also connects procurement with fulfilment across its warehouse network.
- Profitability has improved faster than sales: Between FY2023 – FY2025, Mopshop’s revenue grew by ~40%, while PAT rose more than 4x. EBITDA margin also moved up, reaching 14.64% in FY2025 from 4.62% two years earlier.
Risks of Mopshop Distribution
- Maharashtra still carries most of the revenue: About 66.77% of FY2025 sales came from the state. That leaves Mopshop exposed if demand, pricing or customer activity weakens there, even though its warehouse network extends beyond Maharashtra.
- Customers are not locked into long-term contracts: Mopshop depends on repeat orders through its B2B platform rather than long-term customer commitments. Clients can reduce their order frequency or move to another supplier if pricing, service levels or product availability become less competitive.
- One product segment drives most of the business: Cleaning tools and hygiene consumables account for the majority of the company’s revenue. This leaves overall performance more exposed to demand or pricing changes in that category than the size of its broader product catalogue may initially suggest.
Mopshop Distribution IPO Review
Mopshop enters the IPO with improving profitability. PAT rose from ₹0.81 crore in FY2023 to ₹3.48 crore in FY2025 and reached ₹5.18 crore for the 11 months ended February 2026. Part of the fresh issue will also go towards debt repayment, which could reduce the interest burden and strengthen the balance sheet.
The concern is whether that improvement fully supports the valuation being asked for. SEBI-registered analyst Naveen Kumar questions the roughly ₹99 crore valuation for a distribution-led business with rented warehouses, limited entry barriers and dependence on staying relevant between manufacturers and corporate buyers. This makes the recent profit growth encouraging, but valuation and the durability of its distribution advantage remain important points to weigh.
