Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. RALLY 4 PERCENT AFTER STRONG Q2
M&M
Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra climbed 4 percent to Rs 3,254 on Friday, emerging as the top gainer on the Nifty 50. The rally came as brokerages maintained their positive outlook on the automaker following its strong Q2 earnings performance. Analysts highlighted robust demand for utility vehicles, upcoming product launches and capacity expansion plans as key growth drivers for the company. However, concerns over a slowdown in tractor sales remained a key area of caution.
M&M shares extended their gains after surging 5.6 percent on Thursday following the announcement of its quarterly results. The stock's strong performance came despite weakness in the broader automobile sector, with the Nifty Auto index declining 0.6 percent on Friday. Despite the recent recovery, M&M shares are still down 13.8 percent so far in 2026, compared with a 5.8 percent decline in the benchmark Nifty 50. The company's market capitalisation stood at approximately Rs 4.04 lakh crore.
The brokerage remained optimistic about the company's utility vehicle business, expecting new product launches and capacity expansion to drive further volume growth. Citi also pointed to an improving demand outlook for light commercial vehicles. However, the brokerage flagged concerns over the tractor segment after M&M revised its FY27 tractor industry volume growth forecast to flat, compared with its earlier estimate of 5 percent growth.

TITAN COMPANY LTD. REPORTED A STRONG Q2 RESULTS
TITAN
Titan Company Ltd reported a strong financial performance for the September quarter, with consolidated net profit rising 114% year-on-year for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Improved profitability was supported by a shift towards higher-margin diamond-studded jewellery, even as growth in the overall jewellery business remained relatively moderate. The company reported 25% year-on-year growth in consolidated operating performance, supported by broad-based demand across its businesses. Titan said consumer demand remained resilient through most of the quarter despite a strong base in the previous year and a shift in the festive calendar towards the December quarter.
The jewellery segment remained the biggest growth driver, with total income increasing 24%. Jewellery business income in India rose 21%. Tanishq, Mia and Zaya together recorded 20% growth, while CaratLane delivered a stronger 31% increase in revenue. Titan's watches business also delivered robust growth, with total income rising 27% year-on-year to Rs 1,881 crore. Analog watches recorded growth in the early thirties, while the smartwatches segment returned to growth. The company added 34 net new stores during the quarter.
The emerging businesses portfolio, which includes brands such as IRTH and Taneira, posted a 21% increase in total income to Rs 171 crore. However, the segment reported a loss of Rs 6 crore. Titan said its fragrance business maintained strong volume momentum across its Skinn and Fastrack perfume brands. IRTH's women's bags business benefited from higher average selling prices and new store additions, while Taneira's growth was supported by improved same-store performance. Overall, Titan delivered healthy growth across its key business segments in Q2FY27, with jewellery, watches and emerging brands contributing to its quarterly performance.
