BSE Update: Breakout Extends; 3,860 in Focus
On 28 Oct we had highlighted BSE ’s move above the trendline after a Morning Star formation near the lows. Since then the stock has extended from around 3,500 to about 3,790 on the 4-hour chart, a gain of roughly 8%. The move cleared the 4-hour 200 SMA near 3,499 and the former resistance trendline near 3,460, and volume rose sharply on the latest up-leg. The stock is now approaching the 3,860 zone, which was a swing high in July and August and is the nearest resistance on the chart. The base-to-breakout depth of about 460 points gives a measured-move reference near 3,920, which is a reference only and not a forecast. The latest candle is a small red one after the sharp advance, so some consolidation would not be unusual. The 3,500 zone, where the SMA and the old trendline meet, is the level to watch on the downside. How BSE reacts near 3,860, and whether volumes stay supportive, is worth observing. After a breakout, former resistance often becomes support; rising volume and holding that zone help judge whether the move has follow-through. Nifty Set for Sharp Gap-Up; 200 SMA in Focus
Pre-open cues are strongly positive. GIFT Nifty is around 330 points above yesterday’s close, pointing to an opening near 24,250-24,300. Global risk assets have been supported by the US midterm outcome. Brent crude corrected almost 10% yesterday and is near $93.78, the dollar index is around 101.31, US 10-year yields have eased, and the Dow closed about 1,500 points higher. Yesterday Nifty went up to 23,930 and ended near 23,960, just below its 200-day SMA at 24,003. A gap-up above that level would be the first time the index trades above it since the breach in February 2026. The initial reference zone is 24,380-24,400, followed by the falling trendline high near 24,800. If 24,000 does not hold, support lies at 23,700-23,650 and then 22,205. RSI at 68.55 is near the overbought zone and the market has risen continuously, so caution is warranted. Heavyweights such as RELIANCE , HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys and TCS largely steer the index and are worth tracking for follow-through. A gap-up at a key moving average tests whether buyers can hold; global cues like crude, yields and the dollar often set the tone before the market opens. Reliance Update: Sharp Weekly Bounce From D Zone
On 31 Oct, after RELIANCE’s Q2 results, we had highlighted a harmonic XABCD structure with the stock near point D on the weekly chart, with RSI close to oversold. This week the stock is up over 12% on the weekly futures chart, trading near 1,317 against a previous weekly close near 1,171. The week’s candle has moved well above the range of the last few weeks, and RSI has recovered to about 51. On the chart, the next references are the 50-week SMA near 1,405 and the 200-week SMA near 1,515. The point D area near 1,170 is the level to watch on the downside. The weekly candle is still forming, so the closing level matters. After a sharp move, some consolidation is common, and how the stock holds this week’s gains is worth observing. A sharp bounce from a technical zone is a first sign of change; follow-through, closing levels and moving-average resistance show whether the move can last.
