India Inc.’s Q1 FY27 earnings season has been mixed-to-positive, with healthy revenue growth across several sectors. Domestic demand, improving volumes and strong credit growth supported topline performance, while higher input costs and margin pressure limited profit growth.
Sector Winners:
Banking & Financials remained among the strongest, supported by healthy credit growth, stable asset quality and resilient profitability. Telecom also delivered strong numbers, led by better realisations and subscriber growth. Pharma & Healthcare remained resilient, with several companies reporting healthy revenue and profit growth. Consumer and Building Materials also showed strong domestic demand.
Sector Laggards:
IT remained mixed as global demand uncertainty, slower discretionary spending and AI-related concerns weighed on sentiment. Auto and Tyres faced margin pressure from higher input costs, while some consumer-facing companies struggled with competition and profitability.
Best Performer:
BHARTIARTL
stands out among large-cap companies, with strong revenue growth and a significant improvement in profitability.
Disappointing Performer:
MRF highlighted the margin challenge, with profit declining despite relatively stable revenue due to cost pressures.
Market Takeaway:
Q1 results suggest that demand remains healthy, but margins are now the key differentiator. Banking, Telecom, Pharma and selected Consumer/Industrial stocks look better positioned, while IT and margin-sensitive Auto companies need closer monitoring.
Overall View: Positive, but selective. Earnings growth is encouraging; margin recovery will be crucial for the next market move.

EV Two-Wheeler Stocks Gain on Subsidy Extension
Electric two-wheeler stocks **Ola Electric and Ather Energy gained sharply** after the government extended PM E-DRIVE incentives for registered electric two-wheelers until March 31, 2028. The move provides longer-term policy visibility and supports EV affordability and demand.
The government has earmarked ₹2,767 crore for electric two-wheelers, covering up to 45.7 lakh vehicles. However, the subsidy has been reduced to ₹2,500 per kWh, capped at ₹5,000 per vehicle.
Ola Electric and Ather Energy are the most direct listed beneficiaries, while TVS Motor and Bajaj Autoalso stand to benefit from sustained growth in electric scooters. The extension is positive for the entire EV ecosystem as manufacturers get greater visibility for product launches, capacity expansion and pricing.
Market Outlook: The announcement is a positive near-to-medium-term trigger for EV stocks. Ola and Ather are likely to remain in focus, although investors will also track sales growth, market share and profitability as the subsidy per vehicle is lower.

Morning Market Insights 11-08-2026
Nifty has once again continued its range-bound movement and is looking neutral on the daily charts. The index remains in a wait-and-watch mode as the market looks for fresh triggers. On the technical front, immediate support is placed at 24,370–24,420, while 24,700–24,750 remains the key resistance zone for the day. A decisive breakout on either side of this range could provide the next directional move.
Bank Nifty has also remained range-bound over the past few sessions and is expected to maintain a similar trend amid volatility in global markets and the recent rise in crude oil prices. Crucial support for the index is placed around 57,100–57,250, while 58,000–58,100 remains the immediate resistance, followed by 58,300.
ADANI STOCKS IN FOCUS
Adani Group stocks are likely to remain in focus after the US legal overhang eased further. The US Department of Justice had moved to dismiss the criminal charges against Gautam Adani and other defendants, and the US court has now dismissed the criminal case. This development removes a major source of uncertainty surrounding the group and could improve investor sentiment toward Adani stocks. Adani Group shares had already reacted positively when the US charges were dropped earlier this year.
The key stocks to watch include Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, Adani Power, Adani Ports and Adani Energy Solutions. However, after a strong rally, investors should watch for sustained buying rather than chasing a sharp opening move.
