Massive ₹2,307 Crore Order Win
On December 31, 2025, Premier Energies announced it secured fresh domestic orders worth ₹2,307.30 crore for the supply of solar cells and modules. These contracts, awarded by various domestic independent power producers (IPPs), are slated for execution during FY27 and FY28. This substantial win provides significant mid-term revenue visibility and bolsters the company's "Atmanirbhar Bharat" manufacturing strategy.
Aggressive Capacity Expansion Roadmap
The company has accelerated its production targets, aiming to scale up to 10.6 GW of solar cell capacity and 11.1 GW of module capacity by September 2026. This is a massive jump from its mid-2025 base of 3.2 GW (cells) and 5.1 GW (modules). Specifically, the Naidupeta (Andhra Pradesh) TOPCon cell facility is being augmented to 7 GW with an additional investment of ₹502 crore, funded through internal accruals.
Strategic Diversification into Inverters & Transformers
Premier Energies is shifting from being a pure-play solar manufacturer to a broader energy solutions provider. It recently approved the acquisition of 51% stakes in two key firms: KSolare Energy (solar inverters and BESS) for up to ₹867 crore, and Transcon Ind Limited (transformers) for up to ₹5,003 crore. These moves are designed to offer integrated energy infrastructure to large-scale power projects.
Q2 FY26 Financial Growth
The company delivered its strongest quarterly performance in Q2 FY26 (ended September 2025), with a 71.6% year-on-year surge in net profit to ₹353.4 crore. Revenue grew 20.3% to ₹1,837 crore, while EBITDA margins expanded significantly to 30.5%. This growth was supported by a robust domestic order book which stood at approximately ₹13,250 crore at the start of the current quarter.#WatchOutFor#FundamentalViews#TechnicalViews#PersonalFinance#EquityResearch
