Dilip Buildcon Ltd is a diversified infrastructure EPC company with exposure to roads and highways, mining, irrigation, water supply, metro, tunnels and other infrastructure projects. The company is also transitioning toward a more asset-oriented model under its “DBL 2.0” strategy, aiming to increase the contribution of long-duration, cash-generating assets. Its order book remains the biggest positive, standing at an all-time high of ₹28,830 crore as of March 2026, providing substantial medium-term revenue visibility.
FY26 performance was mixed. Standalone revenue from operations was ₹7,005 crore, with EBITDA of ₹734 crore and PAT of ₹842 crore. However, Q4 revenue declined 25.7% year-on-year to ₹2,300 crore and EBITDA fell 40.7%, reflecting weaker EPC execution. Consolidated net debt stood at approximately ₹7,244 crore at March 2026, which remains a significant concern despite the company's large order book.
The key attraction is the combination of a record order book, diversification into mining and other infrastructure assets, and India's continued infrastructure spending. The company has also demonstrated its ability to generate substantial profits from asset monetisation and strategic transactions, but investors should separate such gains from recurring operating earnings. The major risks are high debt, working-capital intensity, execution delays, aggressive bidding and dependence on government infrastructure spending. Overall, Dilip Buildcon offers strong growth visibility through its order book, but it is not a low-risk infrastructure compounder. The investment case will depend heavily on converting the ₹28,830 crore order book into cash while reducing debt and improving the consistency of EPC margins.#StockInNews#EquityResearch#HiddenGems#FundamentalViews#Post-ClosingCommentary
