Zen Technologies Ltd Company Fundamental Analysis

Zen Technologies Ltd is an Indian defence technology company specialising in anti-drone systems, combat training simulators, live firing ranges and military training solutions. Its products are supplied to the Indian Armed Forces, paramilitary forces and international defence customers. The company has developed capabilities in counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), electronic warfare, simulation and surveillance technologies. Its strong research and development focus, proprietary technology and growing product portfolio provide a competitive advantage. Increasing defence indigenisation and demand for counter-drone solutions are important long-term growth drivers. Q2 FY27 results, announced on 1 November 2026, were exceptionally strong. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 98.8% year-on-year to ₹345.13 crore, compared with ₹173.57 crore in Q2 FY26. Operational EBITDA increased 103.9% to ₹131.99 crore, with an operational EBITDA margin of 38.2%. Net profit (adjusted for non-controlling interest) increased 50.7% to ₹89.54 crore. For H1 FY27, revenue grew 46.7% to ₹486.77 crore, operational EBITDA increased 31.1% to ₹170.71 crore and net profit rose 15.7% to ₹124 crore. The difference between revenue and profit growth over the first half indicates that profitability has not expanded as quickly as sales. The company's consolidated order book stood at ₹1,375.70 crore as of 30 September 2026, supported by fresh Q2 order inflows of ₹481.81 crore. This provides good revenue visibility, although execution timing and order conversion remain important. Zen is also expanding into naval simulation, propulsion systems, robotics and advanced weapon systems through its subsidiaries and investments. Overall Zen Technologies has a strong position in specialised defence technology, an expanding order book and excellent Q2 FY27 revenue growth. However, the valuation already reflects significant growth expectations.
