KRBL powerhouse Ltd Company Fundamental Analysis
KRBL KRBL Ltd is one of India's leading basmati rice manufacturers and exporters, best known for its India Gate brand. The company operates across the basmati rice value chain, including paddy procurement, processing, ageing, packaging, domestic distribution and exports. It also has a smaller energy business. Its established brand, large distribution network and procurement capabilities provide a competitive advantage. Q2 FY27 results, announced on 2 November 2026, were strong. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 14.3% year-on-year to ₹1,727.36 crore, while EBITDA rose 45.5% to ₹373.3 crore. Net profit increased 50.4% to ₹258.93 crore, compared with ₹172.11 crore in Q2 FY26. For H1 FY27, revenue grew 4.1% to ₹3,223.22 crore, while net profit rose 61% to ₹519.67 crore. The improvement in profit was substantially faster than revenue growth, reflecting better operating profitability. However, the quarterly operating margin declined sequentially from 20.56% in Q1 FY27 to 19.23% in Q2 FY27, so the margin trend needs monitoring. Domestic operations were a major growth driver. Q2 domestic revenue reached a record ₹1,390 crore, up 33% year-on-year, while the company reported market shares of 36.2% in general trade, 39.6% in modern trade and 41.1% in e-commerce. Working-capital days improved significantly from 147 days to 95 days, which is a positive sign for cash-flow management. Valuation and outlook: KRBL was trading around ₹363 per share on 2 November 2026, with a market capitalisation of approximately ₹8,300 crore. Based on trailing earnings, its P/E is roughly 8x–9x, which appears relatively inexpensive. KRBL has strong brands, improving domestic demand, healthy profitability and better working-capital efficiency. Its valuation appears attractive on earnings, but the unresolved ED matter and auditor qualification are significant risks.
