MoldTek Packaging Ltd Company Fundamental Analysis

MOLDTKPAC Mold-Tek Packaging Ltd is an Indian rigid plastic packaging manufacturer and a pioneer of In-Mould Labelling (IML) technology in India. It supplies packaging solutions to the paints, lubricants, food, FMCG and pharmaceutical industries. Its key competitive strengths are specialised manufacturing capabilities, established relationships with large customers and a diversified end-market presence. In Q1 FY27, revenue from operations increased 24.9% year-on-year to ₹300.45 crore, while EBITDA grew 19.1% to ₹56.43 crore. Net profit rose 14.2% to ₹25.57 crore. Sales volume increased 6.25% to 12,089 MT, indicating that part of the revenue growth also came from higher raw-material prices rather than volume alone. Pharma packaging volumes grew 38.75%, and food and FMCG packaging volumes increased 26.2%, while lubricant packaging faced demand-related challenges. EBITDA margin declined to 18.78% from 19.70% a year earlier, so margin improvement remains an area to monitor. At the 2 November 2026 market snapshot, the share price was approximately ₹273, with market capitalisation around ₹1,850 crore, a P/E of approximately 24x, ROE of 10.56% and debt-to-equity of 0.31. These figures are based on the post-1:1 bonus share structure. The company has approved a ₹3 final dividend for FY26 and completed the 1:1 bonus allotment. Growth opportunities include pharmaceutical packaging, food and FMCG products, and operational efficiencies from manufacturing consolidation. Key risks include dependence on large customers, raw-material price volatility, lower volume growth in certain segments, rising finance costs and capital expenditure requirements. Overall: Mold-Tek Packaging has an established position in specialised rigid packaging and promising growth opportunities in pharmaceuticals and FMCG. However, revenue growth has been stronger than volume growth, and margins have faced pressure.
