Apollo Hospitals rebounds 4.8% from 61.8% retracement

Apollo Hospitals rose 4.8 percent in the week ended 9 October 2026 after a 17 percent fall, with Rs 8,180 resistance and Rs 7,600 support in focus. Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited [

APOLLOHOSP
] rose 4.8 percent on Friday 9 October 2026, after a 17 percent fall from its high in three weeks. The bounce came near the 61.8 percent retracement of the rally made from 23 January 2026 to 23 September 2026. Before the fall, the stock spent nearly three months in a Rs 8,500 to Rs 9,070 range. The breakdown from this range was sharp, and the higher high and higher low structure is now broken. A broad hospital sector sell-off on 30 September, after Supreme Court remarks on medicine mark-ups, added to the pressure. The key question is what the Friday bounce means. It may be fresh buying interest, or only short covering after a sharp fall. Price reaction near the next resistance will help to answer this. What next: Rs 8,180 is the immediate resistance. A close above it with strong volume may show real buying. Rs 7,600 is the support, and a close below it may bring back the selling. Conclusion: the view stays neutral until price reacts to the sharp decline. Disclosure & Disclaimer: I and my family members do not hold any position in the stock discussed.
