Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Q2 net profit at ₹50.2 crore
Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited (NSE: ABLBL)
ABLBL
posted standalone net profit of ₹50.2 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. That compares with ₹22.6 crore a year ago, more than double.
Revenue from operations rose to ₹2,280 crore from ₹2,037 crore, about 12% higher. EBITDA grew to ₹353 crore from ₹312 crore, about 13% higher. EBITDA margin moved from 15.33% to 15.49%, a gain of 16 basis points.
Why it matters: profit growth ran well ahead of sales growth. But EBITDA grew only about 13%, so most of the jump in net profit came from below the operating line. The data does not break that down, so I cannot say how much came from lower interest, depreciation or tax. One possible factor is the full repayment of ₹150 crore of commercial paper at maturity in September 2026, which may lower borrowing costs going ahead. That is my inference, not a company statement.
My view: the operating trend is healthy but modest. A 16 bps margin gain is small, and sourcing, logistics and labour costs are still rising. Demand looks steady, and the festive quarter comes next.
What I am watching: festive demand in Q3, raw material costs, and the pace of new store additions. A post-festive slowdown is the main risk.
