reported Q2 revenue of ₹1,910 crore, up about 6.7% from ₹1,790 crore in the same quarter last year.
That is a ₹120 crore rise on a consolidated basis. The 6.7% figure is my own calculation from the two reported numbers.
Why it matters: banks continue to spend on core banking upgrades and cloud migration. A vendor selling those products tends to see revenue spread across quarters rather than arrive in one lump. A 6.7% rise is steady, not fast.
My view: revenue alone does not tell us how good the quarter was. Software revenue can come from license fees, which are lumpy, or from services, which are steadier. The data I have does not split the two. So I read this as stable demand, not an acceleration. Margin matters more here. A company can grow sales and still earn less per rupee if costs rise faster. Until margin numbers are in front of us, I keep the call modest.
Risks: slower deal closures in overseas markets and currency swings on foreign revenue could trim reported growth.
What I am watching: License fee revenue in the following update, and whether operating margin holds steady.
