Piramal Pharma Q2 revenue rises 28.43% to ₹2,620 crore

Piramal Pharma Limited (NSE: PPLPHARMA)

PPLPHARMA
reported Q2 revenue of ₹2,620 crore. That is up about 28.43% from ₹2,040 crore in the same quarter last year. The growth rate is my calculation from the two reported figures. This is a top-line update only. No margin or profit data is included. What happened: The board met on October 27, 2026 to approve the results. An investor call followed on October 28, 2026. Revenue rose ₹580 crore year on year. Why it matters: Growth of this size points to higher volumes and steady demand across the contract development and generic pharma operations. Global outsourcing demand for CDMO and specialty pharma work gives the business a supportive backdrop. My view: Revenue growth alone does not tell us earnings quality. A 28% jump can come from volumes, pricing, new contracts or currency. The data here does not split these. If margins held while revenue grew, the growth is worth more. If API input costs ate into margins, the headline flatters the business. So I treat this as a strong first step, not a finished case. What I am watching: margin comments from the October 28 investor call, API costs and rupee moves, and quality audit outcomes at key global manufacturing sites. A second quarter of similar growth would strengthen the case. Please note that the information shared is intended solely for informational purposes and does not make any investment recommendations.
