MAX HEALTHCARE Q2: Net Profit Declines 16% to ₹415 Crore

MAXHEALTH
reported a 16% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹415 crore for Q2 FY27, compared with ₹491 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. This marks the company's first annual profit decline in seven quarters, largely due to the absence of a one-time tax benefit recorded in the previous year. The year-ago quarter included a tax benefit of approximately ₹149 crore arising from the merger of Crosslay Remedies with the former Jaypee Healthcare. KEY FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS 🔹 Net Profit: Fell 16% YoY to ₹415 crore from ₹491 crore. 🔹 Revenue: Increased 20.3% YoY to ₹2,569 crore. 🔹 Operational Capacity: Bed capacity expanded 16% to 5,518 beds. 🔹 Patient Occupancy: Occupied bed days grew 13% year-on-year. 🔹 Total Expenses: Increased 20.1% compared with the corresponding quarter last year. EXPANSION PLANS The company approved a capital investment of ₹415 crore to add 209 beds across its existing hospitals. It also revised the estimated project cost of its upcoming Gurugram hospital to ₹1,143 crore. MARKET TAKEAWAY Despite healthy revenue growth and higher patient volumes, Max Healthcare's profitability remained under pressure due to the absence of the previous year's exceptional tax benefit and rising operating costs. Investors will track margin performance and capacity expansion in the coming quarters. #MaxHealthcare #MaxHealthcareResults #Q2FY27 #QuarterlyResults #HealthcareSector #HospitalIndustry #StockMarket #NSE #BSE #NiveshResearch Investment in securities market are subject to market risks.
