From a research perspective, strong loan growth, improving asset quality and lower credit costs are encouraging developments. However, sustaining Net Interest Margins (NIM) remains important as funding costs and competition for deposits influence profitability.
Investors should monitor NIM trends, deposit mobilisation, credit costs and growth in unsecured lending.
Learning Takeaway: Strong banking profits should be evaluated alongside NII growth, deposit mobilisation, NIM and asset quality. Sustainable earnings depend on maintaining healthy margins while controlling credit risks.
