OneSource Pharma Q2 Profit Jumps 452% YoY

ONESOURCE
reported strong Q2 FY27 results, with consolidated net profit rising 451.9% year-on-year to ₹57.4 crore from ₹10.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue increased 37.4% to ₹516.2 crore from ₹376 crore, indicating healthy business growth. Operating performance improved even faster than revenue. EBITDA increased 53% YoY to ₹163.2 crore from ₹107 crore, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 31.6% from 28.4%, an improvement of 320 basis points. This suggests better operating leverage as the business scales. OneSource operates in the specialty pharmaceutical CDMO space, with capabilities spanning biologics, sterile injectables and drug-device combinations. Its growth opportunities include commercial launches, customer partnerships and increasing demand for complex pharmaceutical manufacturing. From a research perspective, the combination of revenue growth and margin expansion is encouraging. However, the sharp rise in net profit should be evaluated alongside the relatively low year-ago base. Sustaining this performance will depend on commercial execution, customer demand, regulatory approvals and efficient capacity utilisation. Investors should monitor revenue growth by business segment, EBITDA margins, cash-flow generation, working capital requirements and the conversion of expansion plans into commercial sales. Competition, customer concentration and regulatory compliance also remain important risks for a CDMO business. Learning Takeaway: Strong quarterly growth is more meaningful when supported by improving operating margins. Investors should assess whether higher profitability can be sustained across future quarters rather than relying on a single quarter's growth rate.
