Zydus Wellness Q2 Revenue Surges 73%, Profit Turns Positive

ZYDUSWELL
reported a strong turnaround in Q2 FY27, with revenue increasing 73.2% year-on-year to ₹1,126.6 crore, compared with ₹650.5 crore in Q2 FY26. The company returned to profitability, reporting a net profit of ₹5 crore against a loss of ₹53 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating performance also improved significantly. EBITDA rose to ₹85.2 crore from ₹23.2 crore, registering growth of approximately 267%. EBITDA margin expanded to 7.6% from 3.6% a year earlier, representing an improvement of 400 basis points. The sharp improvement in operating earnings alongside higher revenue indicates a meaningful recovery in business performance. Zydus Wellness has a diversified consumer wellness portfolio, including brands such as Complan, Sugar Free, Glucon-D, Everyuth and Nutralite. The company's growth trajectory is influenced by consumer demand, brand strength, distribution reach, product innovation and its ability to improve operating efficiency. From a research perspective, the revenue growth and margin expansion are encouraging. However, the reported PAT of ₹5 crore remains relatively modest compared with the scale of revenue, making sustained profitability an important factor to monitor. Investors should track EBITDA margins, input costs, demand trends, brand performance, integration of acquired businesses and cash-flow generation over the coming quarters. Learning Takeaway: A turnaround in profitability becomes more meaningful when supported by sustained revenue growth and operating margin expansion. Investors should assess whether improved EBITDA can consistently translate into stronger net profit and cash flows.
