Brent at $116 Puts BPCL and Oil Stocks in Focus

Brent crude is trading near $116 per barrel, up about 2.9% on the day, and has moved above a falling trendline that connected the March, May and September highs. RSI at 73.32 is in overbought territory, and the March peak near $120 is the next reference above. Support: $107-109 (the broken trendline), then $102. Higher crude matters for India, which imports most of its oil. Oil marketing companies such as BPCL face pressure on marketing margins when crude rises faster than retail fuel prices, and airlines see higher ATF costs. Upstream producers are usually seen on the other side of this move.

BPCL
(daily) reflects that pressure. The stock slipped below the lower line of a rising wedge in early October and trades near 282, with RSI at 33.50, supporting the bear case. Support: 277 (the recent low), then 270. Resistance: 298-300, then the wedge line near 305-308. How crude behaves around $116-120 will be worth tracking for oil-sensitive stocks. When an input like crude breaks higher, stocks that depend on it as a cost often reflect the move on their own charts. Disclaimer:This is for educational purposes only and is not investment advice.
