Shares of Amagi Media Labs jumped more than 7% in early trade on Friday following a Rs 600 crore block deal involving around 5% of the company’s equity. The stock was trading at Rs 617.70 on the NSE, up 7.16% by 9:53 am.
The block deal was initiated on Thursday by Trudy Holdings, AVP I Fund and Accel. The floor price was set at Rs 550 per share, offering a discount of up to 4.6% to the previous closing price of Rs 576.45. Sellers will face a 90-day lock-up period after the transaction.
Amagi, a cloud-based SaaS provider focused on media and streaming technology, views India as a key long-term growth market while positioning artificial intelligence as a major driver of its next phase. The company has begun shifting investments toward AI-led initiatives and recently secured its first AI customer, marking an early move into generative AI infrastructure.
The US remains Amagi’s largest market, contributing nearly 73% of revenue. Management expects India’s share to rise meaningfully over time, supported by growing cloud adoption and streaming consumption. The company has maintained a strong net revenue retention rate of around 125-126%, well above global benchmarks for subscription tech businesses.#StockInNews
