Acutaas Chemicals Q2 Profit Jumps 71% to ₹123 Cr

ACUTAAS
reported strong financial results for Q2 FY27, with consolidated revenue from operations increasing 42.7% year-on-year to ₹436.9 crore from ₹306.2 crore. Net profit rose 71.4% to ₹123.1 crore, compared with ₹71.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating performance improved significantly during the quarter. EBITDA increased 84.6% year-on-year to ₹176 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 40.3% from 31.1%. Gross profit rose 59% to ₹271.5 crore, and gross margin improved to 62.1% from 55.8%. Net profit margin also strengthened to 28.2%, compared with 23.5% a year earlier. Management attributed the revenue growth primarily to continued momentum in the pharmaceutical intermediates business, partly offset by softer performance in the specialty chemicals segment. During the quarter, the company also inaugurated its South Korea manufacturing facility ahead of schedule. The facility will produce high-purity chemicals used in photoresists, semiconductor packaging materials, etching materials and other semiconductor applications. Following improved revenue visibility and a robust order pipeline, management raised its FY27 revenue growth guidance from 25% to around 30%. It also revised its EBITDA margin guidance to the 38–40% range. For H1 FY27, revenue increased 49.3% year-on-year to ₹766.6 crore, EBITDA surged 97.7% to ₹289 crore, and net profit climbed 71% to ₹198.1 crore. Investors will track the company’s ability to sustain growth in pharmaceutical intermediates, execute its semiconductor-related expansion plans and maintain profitability amid varying demand across business segments. Disclosure: I do not hold any position or financial interest in the mentioned stock.
