Amber Enterprises India Ltd
1. Major Entry into Smartphone Manufacturing Amber Enterprises has signed a manufacturing collaboration agreement with OPPO India, marking its entry into large-scale mobile phone manufacturing. Under the partnership, Amber Group will manufacture smartphones for OPPO, OnePlus and Realme in India, significantly expanding its Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) business. 2. Strategic Diversification Beyond Air Conditioners The deal represents a new business vertical for Amber, reducing dependence on its traditional room air-conditioner manufacturing segment and strengthening its position in India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem. 3. Strengthening Electronics Component Capabilities Amber’s subsidiary IL JIN Electronics has increased its stake in Ascent Circuits, taking ownership from 60% toward 98.5%, enhancing its printed circuit board (PCB) and electronics component capabilities. 4. Strong FY26 Performance Amber reported FY26 revenue of over ₹12,186 crore, up 22% YoY, with operating EBITDA and adjusted PAT also growing about 22%. Management expects the room AC industry to grow 12–13% in FY27. Why This Matters The OPPO partnership is potentially the most significant development for Amber in 2026. It positions the company as a broader EMS player alongside its leadership in AC manufacturing, opening up a large and fast-growing smartphone manufacturing opportunity under the Make-in-India theme. $AMBER
