Maharashtra Infra Boost — ₹28,227 Cr Projects
1. Metro Line 13 — ₹17,725 crore: Maharashtra has approved the 25.03-km Metro Line 13, connecting Mira-Bhayandar with Vasai-Virar through 16 stations. The corridor will include 21.78 km of elevated track, 3.25 km underground section and a 4.92-km integrated road-cum-metro bridge over Vasai Creek. The project is expected to carry around 4.49 lakh passengers daily by 2031 and significantly improve connectivity across Mira Road, Vasai, Nalasopara, Naigaon and Virar.
2. Pune Ring Road — ₹10,502 crore: The state has also approved the revised cost for the 31.8-km eastern expansion of Pune Ring Road, to be implemented by MSRDC. The access-controlled corridor will have three lanes in each direction and include bridges, flyovers, viaducts and tunnels. The broader ring-road network is aimed at diverting inter-city traffic away from Pune, potentially boosting industrial, logistics and real-estate development around the city’s outskirts.
