Alkem breaks below range support as averages turn lower

Alkem Laboratories has broken below the lower edge of its recent consolidation range, closing near ₹4,984 after slipping beneath the ₹5,087–₹5,170 support band. The breakdown matters because this zone had repeatedly contained price during the past few months. The stock is now below all three visible moving averages: the 20-day EMA near ₹5,184.8, the 50-day EMA around ₹5,277.3, and the 200-day EMA near ₹5,382.6.

That alignment places resistance overhead in layers. A recovery above ₹5,087 would be the first attempt to repair the breakdown, but ₹5,185 is the short-term confirmation level. Beyond that, ₹5,277–₹5,383 is the larger supply zone created by the 50-day and 200-day averages. Unless price can regain those levels, rebounds are more likely to be corrective than the start of a new uptrend. The immediate downside reference is ₹4,900–₹4,950. If this area fails, ₹4,800 is the next visible level, while the broad long-term support zone near ₹4,100 becomes relevant only in a deeper decline. Alkem’s domestic formulations and export exposure give the business defensive characteristics, but the chart is currently demanding proof from buyers. The key signal is whether ₹5,087 can be reclaimed promptly; failure to do so keeps the breakdown in control and leaves lower supports vulnerable.
