Indian Hotels - Record quarter, Price inside the cloud

INDHOTEL
trades at Rs 718, and the Ichimoku picture is unusually neutral. Price sits inside the cloud, which spans Rs 695 to Rs 730, rather than above or below it. The Tenkan at Rs 720 and the Kijun at Rs 729 are both within that same narrow band, and the Chikou span has slipped below the price action of 26 sessions ago. RSI at 47 is just under the midline, and the 20 and 50 EMAs are less than one percent apart. The cloud is best understood as a zone of unresolved supply and demand rather than a line. When price trades inside it, the market has no settled reference, and that is precisely what every reading here is saying together. Volume at 1.07 times the 20 day average adds nothing either way. That neutrality sits oddly against the business. IHCL reported its 17th consecutive record quarter in Q1 FY27, with revenue near Rs 2,419 Cr, up about 15%, and profit after tax up 21% to around Rs 358 Cr. It signed 20 hotels and opened 11 in the quarter. Hospitality earnings are driven by room rates and occupancy on a largely fixed cost base, so revenue per available room flows through to profit with real leverage, while the management contract pipeline adds fee income without capital. The risks are the familiar ones for the sector, demand sensitivity to the economy and the execution of that pipeline. The stock is up about 9.5% over 60 sessions but down 2.4% in the last month, roughly 5% below its 60 day high of Rs 757.
