The brokerage said SBI's brand and distribution network provide a significant growth opportunity as the mutual fund business remains underpenetrated within the bank's customer base. SBI Mutual Fund serves around 5.5 million customers, compared with nearly 21 million salary account holders at SBI, leaving scope for expansion, particularly in B-30 cities and rural markets.
Emkay also expects a gradual shift in the company's asset mix towards higher-yielding products, including equity schemes and alternative investment products such as AIFs and PMS, which could support revenue yields.
In addition, it expects operating leverage and economies of scale to drive an EBITDA compound annual growth rate of around 17 percent between FY26 and FY29.
