Aegis Logistics Expands LPG Infrastructure with ₹142.5 Crore JNPA Project as Q1 Performance Strengthens
Aegis Logistics Ltd. has taken another step to strengthen its LPG infrastructure by signing a ₹142.5 crore framework agreement with its subsidiary, Aegis Vopak Terminals Ltd. (AVTL), to build a refrigerated double steel wall, full containment, insulated propane storage tank with a capacity of 51,998 metric tonnes at the JNPA tank farm.
Under the agreement, Aegis Logistics will receive ₹142.5 crore from AVTL, and while the transaction is between related parties, the company stated that it has been executed on an arm’s length basis. Alongside this development, the company reported a strong Q1 FY27 performance, with consolidated net profit rising to ₹484 crore from ₹131 crore in the same quarter last year, while revenue from operations increased 37% to ₹2,357 crore from ₹1,719 crore.
EBITDA nearly tripled to ₹715 crore from ₹240 crore, with EBITDA margin improving significantly to 30.3% from 14%, reflecting stronger operational efficiency. Profit before tax increased to ₹719.3 crore from ₹227.9 crore, while tax expense rose to ₹174.4 crore from ₹52.5 crore. Total expenses also increased to ₹1,743.9 crore from ₹1,554 crore due to higher purchases, employee costs and finance expenses.
The Gas Terminal business remained the key growth driver, with segment revenue rising to ₹2,178.6 crore from ₹1,575.5 crore and segment profit surging to ₹575.3 crore from ₹132.1 crore. Overall, the new infrastructure investment, supported by robust quarterly financial performance, reflects the company's continued focus on expanding storage capacity and strengthening its position in India's energy logistics sector.
