Larsen & Toubro wins mega orders up to ₹15,000 crore
Larsen & Toubro Limited has secured multiple mega EPC orders across India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with cumulative value of ₹10,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore.
The orders cover transmission lines, substations and renewable energy evacuation infrastructure, supporting the company’s Power Transmission & Distribution business.
Larsen & Toubro Limited’s PT&D business has won 380 kV transmission and substation projects in Saudi Arabia, along with 132/11 kV substations and associated cabling works in the UAE. In India, the company will develop a transmission system in Visakhapatnam for a leading private sector developer.
The order mix is important because it is linked to grid expansion and renewable energy integration rather than a single project. Overseas wins also add geographical diversification to the PT&D order book. However, the headline order value alone does not tell us how much will translate into revenue or margins, so execution and order conversion remain the key factors to track.
Larsen & Toubro Limited gained 1.53% to ₹3,750 on October 5 following the announcement, although the stock remains down around 10% so far this year. I would watch the ₹3,800 to ₹3,850 zone for sustained strength. A move above this range with volume can improve the short-term setup, while failure to hold ₹3,700 would keep the trend cautious.
My stance is positive on the order inflow, but I would wait for confirmation through price action and execution updates before turning more bullish.
