Nazara Technologies funds UK arm with ₹734 crore
Nazara Technologies Limited has infused ₹734.35 crore into its UK subsidiary to fund the second payment for its acquisition of Spanish gaming companies Bluetile Games and Bestplay Systems.
The latest payment takes the acquisition process forward, with total consideration of $303.02 million, approximately ₹2,990 crore.
The company infused $77 million into Nazara Technologies UK through an equity subscription on October 29, 2026. On October 30, the UK subsidiary transferred the same amount in cash to the sellers as the second tranche of the acquisition consideration.
Bluetile Games and Bestplay Systems remain wholly owned subsidiaries of Nazara Technologies UK and indirect subsidiaries of Nazara Technologies Limited. The company stated that the remaining consideration will be paid according to the amended share purchase agreement, with further details to be disclosed in due course.
My view: The key factor is whether these acquisitions can generate sustainable earnings and cash flows that justify the ₹2,990 crore purchase price. The latest ₹734.35 crore payment advances the transaction, but the capital commitment also makes integration, business performance and returns on investment important factors to track. Investors should assess the acquired businesses' contribution to revenue, profitability and cash generation rather than treating the acquisition announcement alone as a positive trigger.
I will watch for updates on the remaining payments, integration progress and the contribution of Bluetile and Bestplay to Nazara's financial results. The next quarterly results and any management commentary on acquisition-related performance will be important indicators of whether the deal is delivering value.
Stance: Monitor the stock for further disclosures on acquisition funding and earnings contribution before drawing a firm conclusion on the deal's impact on shareholder value.
