Skyways Air Services Limited reported consolidated Q1 FY27 revenue of ₹1,216.6 crore, up 90.4% year-on-year from ₹639 crore. Net profit nearly tripled to ₹19.77 crore from ₹6.77 crore, while EBITDA increased to ₹49.9 crore from ₹18.3 crore.
The numbers show strong operating growth, but the quality of that growth deserves attention. Revenue expanded sharply and EBITDA also increased significantly. The EBITDA margin improved to 4.1% from 2.9%, which indicates some operating leverage despite the relatively low-margin nature of the business.
My view: revenue growth of more than 90% is the headline number, but I would focus more closely on whether the company can maintain this growth while gradually improving margins. A logistics and air-freight business can generate large revenue numbers without necessarily producing equally strong profitability. Margin expansion and cash-flow conversion therefore become important confirmation points.
The company has also designated Yashpal Sharma as CEO, adding a management development alongside the quarterly numbers. The stock listed only recently, so the market is still discovering a sustainable valuation range.
For the technical setup, I would avoid judging the stock purely on the percentage gain following results. Instead, watch the post-results high and the previous support zone. Holding above the results-day range with sustained volumes would indicate that buyers are accepting the new earnings profile. A breakdown below the post-results support would suggest that expectations have moved ahead of fundamentals.
Call: Watch whether strong revenue growth converts into sustained margin improvement and cash generation.
Disclosure: I have no holding or position in Skyways Air Services Limited at the time of writing.
