Dabur India Shares Jump 3% as FMCG Growth Accelerates

DABUR
India shares jumped 3% to Rs 390 after the company said its India FMCG business is expected to deliver double-digit growth in Q2 FY27, marking its strongest performance in recent quarters. The growth outlook is being supported by steady consumption, with rural demand continuing to outpace urban markets, while the upcoming festive season could further accelerate consumption. Dabur expects consolidated revenue and profit after tax to grow at double-digit levels for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Within Home and Personal Care, hair oils and shampoos are expected to register high-teens growth, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Skin Care is also expected to grow at a double-digit pace, while Oral Care is likely to record mid-single-digit growth and Home Care high-single-digit growth. Food and Beverages is expected to grow in the mid-teens, while emerging channels such as e-commerce and quick commerce are expected to maintain strong momentum. Modern Trade continues to grow at double digits, while General Trade is seeing growth across both urban and rural markets, with rural demand remaining ahead due to the company’s Project Saksham initiatives. However, elevated inflation in Home and Personal Care and OTC & Ethicals is expected to keep margins under pressure, partly offset by price increases and cost-saving measures.
