Indian Hotels Q2 revenue rises 22% as occupancy improves

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (NSE: INDHOTEL), which operates Taj, Vivanta and Ginger hotels, reported Q2 FY27 consolidated revenue from operations of ₹2,484 crore, up 21.7% YoY. Consolidated net profit increased 19.4% to ₹380 crore, supported by stronger room demand and improved operating performance. Key Highlights • Operating EBITDA increased 23.9% YoY to ₹706 crore. • EBITDA margin improved to 28.4% from 27.9% a year earlier. • Standalone hotel occupancy increased to 82% from 75%. • Standalone RevPAR (revenue per available room) grew 28% YoY. • The company raised its FY27 consolidated revenue growth guidance to 15–17% from 12–14%. • Its portfolio reached 670 hotels, including 280 properties in the pipeline. My View Indian Hotels delivered strong operating performance, with revenue growth supported by higher occupancy and better room realisations. The most encouraging number is the 28% increase in standalone RevPAR. This suggests that the company is benefiting from both stronger demand and improved pricing. EBITDA growing faster than revenue also indicates improving operating efficiency. However, the hospitality business remains sensitive to discretionary spending, travel demand and new hotel supply. Sustaining current room rates will be important as the company expands. What I'm Watching Next I will monitor RevPAR growth, occupancy trends and the execution of its 280-hotel pipeline. The upgraded FY27 revenue guidance of 15–17% is an important benchmark for the coming quarters. Stance: Positive on demand, pricing power and operating performance. Sustained RevPAR growth and disciplined expansion will be key to maintaining earnings momentum. Disclosure: I do not have any holding or position in the stock mentioned above.
