Berger Paints bounce faces a ₹490 trend hurdle

Berger Paints has recovered from the September low near ₹445 and closed at ₹470, but the rebound is approaching an important decision zone. Price is above the 20-day moving average at ₹462.27, which supports the short-term bounce, yet it remains below the 55-day moving average near ₹490.64. The medium-term trend therefore remains unconfirmed until the stock can overcome that higher average.

BERGEPAINT
Momentum is beginning to cool. Stochastic %K is around 73.66 while %D is near 77.86, leaving the faster line below the slower one in the upper part of the range. This suggests the recent rebound may pause or consolidate near ₹475–₹480 rather than extend immediately. That is not a breakdown signal on its own, but it means price action at resistance matters more than the recent upswing. The first support is ₹462, where the 20-day average sits. Holding above it would keep the recovery attempt intact and could allow another challenge of ₹480. A close above ₹490–₹491 would be more significant because it would reclaim the 55-day average and open ₹500–₹510. Conversely, a drop below ₹462 would shift focus to ₹450 and then the recent ₹445 low. Berger Paints benefits from its decorative-paint franchise, but the chart calls for confirmation: the bounce is real, while the longer trend has not yet turned.
