Biocon hits oversold zone amid accelerating downtrend

Biocon has extended its decline to around ₹336.15 and is now trading well below both key moving averages. The 20-day average is near ₹363.52, while the 55-day average sits much higher around ₹392.05. This confirms a weak trend structure: the shorter average is falling below the longer-term average, and price continues to make lower highs and lower lows.

BIOCON
Momentum is deeply stretched. The stochastic oscillator shows %K near 5.49 and %D around 10.85, placing the stock in an oversold zone. That increases the possibility of a technical bounce, but it does not by itself confirm a reversal. In a persistent downtrend, oversold readings can remain low for several sessions while price continues to weaken. ₹335–₹340 is the immediate support area. If this range fails on a closing basis, ₹330 and then the lower ₹320 zone become important downside levels. For a bounce to gain credibility, Biocon must first reclaim ₹350. A move above ₹363 would improve short-term momentum, while ₹392 remains the key medium-term resistance and 55-day average barrier. The company’s biosimilars, generics and research-driven pharmaceutical businesses remain important long-term themes, but the chart is currently focused on downside control. Traders should watch for a base near ₹335 and improving momentum before assuming that the oversold reading has created a durable bottom.
