BPCL tests lower support as moving averages cap rebound

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd ,

BPCL
closed near ₹286.55 after extending its recent decline, keeping the stock below both major moving averages. The 20-day average is around ₹295.96 and the 55-day average near ₹307.55. This alignment shows that the short-term trend remains weak and rallies are likely to face supply before a stronger reversal can develop. The stochastic oscillator is attempting to lift from lower levels, with %K near 32.78 and %D around 35.46. This suggests selling momentum has eased slightly, but %K remains below %D and the indicator has not yet confirmed a decisive bullish crossover. Therefore, a short bounce is possible, yet it needs price confirmation before it can be treated as a trend change. ₹280 is the key immediate support. Holding above it can allow BPCL to build a base and attempt a move back toward ₹296. A breakdown below ₹280 may bring ₹270 into focus. On the upside, ₹296 is the first resistance from the 20-day average, while ₹307–₹310 is the stronger barrier created by the 55-day average and recent price congestion. BPCL’s refining, marketing and petrochemical exposure keeps it sensitive to crude prices and marketing margins, but the chart is currently driven by technical weakness. The next meaningful signal will be whether buyers defend ₹280 and push the stock above ₹296 with stronger follow-through.
