Godrej Consumer Products bounce meets long-term resistance

Godrej Consumer Products closed at ₹868.75 after a 3% gain, with buyers responding after the stock revisited the recent low area near ₹850. The positive candle and improving MACD histogram show that selling pressure has eased in the very short term. However, the context remains important: price is recovering from a steep August–September fall and is still far below the medium-term trend line. This is an early bounce, not a completed reversal.

20-day average near ₹864 has been reclaimed, which gives the stock an immediate level to hold. But the 55-day average around ₹929 is still well above price and remains the more meaningful resistance. MACD is rising towards its signal line, yet both lines remain below zero, signalling that the broader momentum backdrop is still weak despite the latest improvement. ₹850–₹864 is the support zone to protect. A failure below ₹850 can reopen the recent low area. If buyers sustain above ₹864, the next test is ₹900, followed by ₹929. Domestic-volume growth, rural demand and input-cost movement will remain important factors for the FMCG company.
