Britannia falls 4% despite strong Q2 numbers

Britannia Industries shares fell 3.92% to Rs 4,785 on 6 Nov 2026 after Q2 results, rejected at the day’s high of 5,098.50. Support is at 4,500 and resistance at 5,100. Britannia Industries Limited [ BRITANNIA ] shares slipped 3.92% to close at Rs 4,785 on 6 November 2026, after its Q2 consolidated results. The stock opened higher at Rs 5,050 and touched a day’s high of Rs 5,098.50, but selling set in and it dropped to a low of Rs 4,712.50 before settling near the lower end of the day’s range. Consolidated profit rose 10.2% year on year to Rs 721 crore, against Rs 654.5 crore. Revenue grew 15.6% to Rs 5,597.8 crore from Rs 4,840.6 crore. Despite the double-digit growth in both lines, the stock saw profit booking after the early spike. On the daily chart, price had bounced from the 4,500 support zone ahead of the results and gapped up on the day, but the move failed near 5,100 and the candle closed as a bearish rejection. Volume was 546.12K shares and RSI(14) is at 49.25, in neutral territory and recovering from its recent lows. The broader structure still shows lower highs from the 2025 peak, so the stock is in a corrective phase. In my view, the trend is cautious with a range of 4,500 to 5,100 in play. A sustained move above 5,100 would be needed to signal a stronger reversal and bring higher levels into focus. A close below the day’s low of 4,712.50 would weaken the setup, and a break of 4,500 support would put a deeper fall in view. Stance: cautious, with 4,500 as key support and 5,100 as key resistance.
