On Muhurat Trading Voltas slips 4% despite Q2 profit jump

Voltas shares fell 3.87% to Rs 1,056.50 on 8 Nov 2026 even after Q2 profit rose 53.5%. Support is at 1,052 and 930, with resistance at 1,125 and 1,185. Voltas Limited [ VOLTAS ] shares closed at Rs 1,056.50 on 8 November 2026, down 3.87%, after its Q2 consolidated results. The stock opened at Rs 1,065, traded between Rs 1,052.20 and Rs 1,080, and ended near the day’s low. Profit rose 53.5% year on year to Rs 52.6 crore, against Rs 34.3 crore. Revenue grew 15.3% to Rs 2,706.6 crore from Rs 2,347.3 crore. On the daily chart, the stock has stayed in a downtrend since March, with lower highs along the way. The Rs 1,185 zone, which held as support for most of the past year, gave way in August-September and now acts as resistance. The bounce from the October low of Rs 930 to around Rs 1,125 ahead of results looks like a relief rally inside that downtrend. Today’s gap-down and weak close suggest profit booking after the run-up. In my view, the trend remains bearish while price stays below 1,185. A close below 1,052 would bring the 930 low back into focus, and a break of 930 would mark a fresh lower low. The first sign of strength would be a close above 1,125, while a sustained move above 1,185 would be needed to improve the setup. Stance: bearish below 1,185, with 1,052 and 930 as key supports.
