PACE DIGITEK Limited has received a Letter of Intent from BSES Rajdhani Power Limited for developing a 57.5 MW / 115 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across four grid stations in Delhi. The project involves an estimated capital outlay of ₹179.4 crore and will operate under a 12-year Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model.
The project is expected to be commissioned within approximately seven months from the effective date of the agreement. Under the proposed long-term arrangement, the company is expected to receive a fixed capacity tariff, translating into annual contracted capacity revenue of approximately ₹27.1 crore.
The development expands PACE Digitek’s utility-scale energy-storage portfolio to approximately 3.32 GWh. Battery storage is becoming increasingly important for managing renewable energy variability and supporting grid reliability.
From an analyst’s perspective, the long-term contract offers revenue visibility, but investors should track project execution, commissioning timelines, financing costs and operating performance.
KEY TAKEAWAY: The new battery-storage project strengthens PACE Digitek’s presence in energy infrastructure, although execution and cash-flow delivery remain key considerations.
