Breakout Point Acting as a Strong Support

AUBANK
Breakout Point Acting as a Strong Support When a price breaks out above an important resistance level, that previous breakout point often becomes a strong support zone on subsequent declines. This happens because the market sentiment changes after the breakout: the level that was previously acting as a barrier for buyers is converted into an area where buyers may become active. Traders who missed the initial breakout may look for an entry when price retests this level, while existing buyers may add positions if the price holds above the breakout zone. A successful retest of the breakout point, followed by a bullish reversal candle or strong buying volume, can strengthen the support zone and increase the probability of continuation toward higher levels. In technical analysis, this is commonly known as “resistance turning into support.” However, the support should ideally be considered a zone rather than an exact price, as temporary intraday breaches can occur. If price sustains below the breakout zone with strong volume, the breakout may be considered weak or failed, and the bullish structure could lose strength.
