Britannia Q2 FY27: Revenue Up 16%, Profit Rises 11%
BRITANNIA Britannia Industries reported a healthy Q2 FY27 performance, with consolidated revenue growing 15.6% year-on-year. However, profit growth remained comparatively moderate as expenses increased faster than revenue. Q2 FY27 Financial Performance Revenue from Operations: ₹5,597.79 crore, up 15.6% YoY. Net Profit (PAT): ₹725.99 crore, up 10.8% YoY. EBITDA: Approximately ₹1,021 crore, up 6.9% YoY. EBITDA Margin: 18.2%, compared with 19.7% in Q2 FY26. Total Expenses: ₹4,690.47 crore, up 17.1% YoY. Business Growth and Demand Trends Britannia witnessed broad-based growth across its distribution channels. General Trade recorded stronger growth compared with FY26. Adjacent bakery businesses, including cakes, rusks, wafers and croissants, recorded growth of over 20%. International business saw a resilient recovery, with growth across key geographies. Investor Perspective Britannia's 16% revenue growth reflects healthy demand and expansion across distribution channels. However, EBITDA growth of around 7% lagged revenue growth, while the EBITDA margin declined from 19.7% to 18.2%. Going forward, investors should monitor volume growth, commodity prices, pricing actions and the company's ability to protect margins while sustaining revenue growth.
